Privacy Policy
This policy was last updated on 3rd October 2026. Earlier versions were dated 28th August 2023.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect the personal information you provide on our website.
Information Collection and Use
We collect the personal information you provide when requesting a free demonstration. This information will be used solely for scheduling and conducting the demonstration and providing information about our loyalty app.
Data Protection and Privacy
We don’t sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing. See “Cookies and tracking” below for the analytics and advertising tools we use with your consent. We may share your information with our internal teams and service providers to facilitate the demonstration process.
Cookies and tracking
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Similar technologies, such as tracking pixels and tags, do a related job. This section explains which ones smartloyalty.ie uses and the choices you have. "We" means Think X Intelligent Systems LTD, Currygrane, Ballinalee, Co. Longford, N39 AE76, Ireland, which runs Smart Loyalty.
Your choices: the cookie banner
On your first visit we show a cookie banner. Nothing from Google Analytics, Google Ads or Meta loads until you make a choice. You can:
- Accept to allow analytics and marketing cookies;
- Reject to allow only strictly necessary cookies; or
- open Cookie settings to switch analytics and marketing on or off separately.
We use three types of cookies:
| Type | What it does | Do we ask first? |
| Strictly necessary | Makes the website work, for example forms and sign-in (PHPSESSID, deleted when you close your browser), and remembers your cookie choice (sl_consent, kept for 180 days) | No. The site can't work without these, so they're always on |
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4 tells us how people use our website, such as which pages they visit, so we can improve it | Yes. These only run if you turn on Analytics |
| Marketing | Google Ads and the Meta Pixel help us measure how well our adverts on Google, Facebook and Instagram work, for example whether someone who clicked an advert went on to request a demo | Yes. These only run if you turn on Marketing |
Cookies set by other companies
| Cookie or tag | Provider | Type | Purpose |
Google Analytics 4 (for example _ga, _ga_*) | Google | Analytics | Measures how our website is used |
| Google Ads tag | Google | Marketing | Measures the results of our Google adverts |
Meta Pixel (for example _fbp, _fbc) | Meta Platforms | Marketing | Measures the results of our Facebook and Instagram adverts. Used on our demo request page |
Google and Meta set and control these cookies, including how long they last. You can read more in Google's privacy policy and Meta's privacy policy. We keep Google Analytics data for 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically.
Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads.
Google and Meta are based in the United States, so some of this data may be transferred to and processed there.
Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode, which tells Google's tags what you have agreed to and changes how they behave:
- If you reject both analytics and marketing, the Google tag doesn't load at all.
- If you accept marketing but decline analytics, the Google tag loads for advertising measurement only. Google Analytics cookies are not set. Google may still receive limited "cookieless" signals, such as that a page was viewed or an advert led to a demo request, without analytics cookies being stored on your device. Google may use these to estimate overall advert performance.
- If you accept analytics but decline marketing, Google Analytics runs, but advertising cookies are not set and your visit isn't used for advert personalisation.
The Meta Pixel only loads if you accept marketing.
Why we're allowed to use them
We use strictly necessary cookies because the website needs them to work. We use analytics and marketing cookies only with your consent, as required by the ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336 of 2011) and the GDPR.
Changing your mind or withdrawing consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time:
- Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page, change the switches and press Save choices, or press Reject (on the banner) or Reject all (in Cookie settings).
- When you withdraw consent, we delete the Google Analytics and Meta cookies our site set on your device, and those tools stop loading.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as forms, from working.
Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything collected while your consent was in place.
